Baby Shower Invitation Wording Verses

First do you know what needs to be included on a baby shower invitation? Of course you know the basics who, what, when, where, why. But more than that needs to be included. Here are the ten essentials that should appear on your invitation:

1.A short introductory verse or poem

2.The invitation

3.The mother to bes name or couples names and babys name and gender, with mothers permission

4.Date

5.Time

6.Location and address

7.Name and phone # for R.S.V.P.

8.List baby registry the mother is listed with

9.Include any instructions for activity that will take place

10.Gift instructions (e.g. no baby furniture needed)

If there is a theme for the babys room carry it through in your invitations. Winnie the Pooh, Cars, Princess, whatever the parents have chosen, you should plan the shower around that theme including the invitations.

You may want to make the invitations yourself. It is easy, there are free templates available on line that you can use and also free clip art. Just add a verse and the shower details. These unique cheap shower invitations will truly be one of a kind. The soon to be mama and all of your guests will be thrilled.

I know a woman who got a copy of her sisters ultrasound picture and used that as design, then added her own baby shower invitation wording verses.

If the new baby has siblings awaiting his or her arrival, it is probable that the parents wont need a crib and other nursery furniture and you may want to mention that in the invitation. It would be a nice idea to mention the other kids on the invitation:

When you do baby shower invitations, you can accommodate all kinds of new baby situations: multiple births, adopted children and overseas adoptions. You can write wording to suit all of these and any theme that you can dream up. If possible find out how the soon to be parents are decorating the nursery and base your shower theme on the room. This will help insure that all the little extras will fit the babys room.
